Facial Treatments (GTi)
This course covers the technique for performing a superficial and deep cleanse, tone, steam, extract, massage, mask and moisturiser. It also includes fantastic anatomy and physiology resources with clear diagrams and voice over. Health and safety guidance is covered as well as skin conditions, skin analysis and advice about different skin types as well as guidance as to which type of product is suitable for use.
Performing a facial treatment is an opportunity for you to give your client a relaxing and enjoyable treatment designed to improve and rejuvenate their skin. This course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional facial and includes a practical training session and assessment.
The GTi Facial Treatment course follows the National Occupational Standards and covers reception, consultation and ventilation. It also covers anatomy and physiology, contra-indications and contra-actions, skin conditions, skin analysis, preparation, skin types and product selection, preparing for treatment, technique and aftercare.
The GTi Facial Treatment Award is accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body.
The GTi Facial Treatments course is studied online at your own pace from the comfort of your own home. Upon completion of the theory you will attend Devata Holistic School NI for practical training and assessment. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi Facial certificate.
