At Devata, we are passionate about providing holistic support for women who are either trying to get pregnant, or already pregnant.

Infertility is a huge problem these days, with a reported 1 in 6 women experiencing difficulty in getting pregnant after trying for one year.  While medical advancements in assisted conception treatments like IVF have made it possible for some women to have children who may never have been able to naturally, the medical profession is also doing a huge disservice to some women by rushing them into often unnecessary and invasive treatments and fertility drugs.

By taking a natural and holistic approach to reproductive health, it is possible to improve fertility by balancing hormones, regulating menstrual cycles and promoting blood flow to the reproductive organs.  The holistic treatments we offer at Devata and help to do all those things, and most importantly they can reduce the stress associated with fertility issues.  We believe stress to be a major factor in infertility, and have seen some amazing results after women commit to regular Reproductive Reflexology, Maya Massage and Fertility Massage.

We believe in taking a Mind-Body approach to fertility problems, alongside stress reduction and improving general and menstrual health through proper nutrition and lifestyle.

Our training includes advanced Reproductive Reflexology with Barbara Scott – an in-depth course in supporting women who are trying to get pregnant both naturally and with assisted conception – Reproductive Reflexology is the only reflexology specifically designed to work alongside fertility treatments such as IUI/IVF/ICSI.

Our therapist Sara has trained with Clare Blake in her Fertility Massage protocol, which is an interesting therapeutic and energetic treatment to help alleviate menstrual pain and irregularities, digestive upsets and infertility.

And Devata owner Lynn travelled to the USA to train in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, a technique which has been handed down through the generations of the Mayan healers and midwives.  Lynn has dedicated the past couple of years to supporting women with fertility issues and tackles fertility problems from a totally holistic place – i.e. looking at the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Please visit the FERTILITY page to see the treatments we offer, or get in touch to discuss.  We recommend an initial consultation of 90 minutes for your first visit to discuss your fertility and the different options available.

For those ladies who are already carrying their little blessings, we also offer a range of Holistic Pregnancy Treatments to support you throughout pregnancy and birth.

Pregnancy Reflexology and Massage can reduce stress, improve vitality, circulation, breathing, digestion, normalise blood pressure and help you get a good night’s sleep.

Reflexology has established its reputation and popularity by the effective results people experience.  It is recommended by a lot of midwives and some doctors too!   Trials have found that those receiving regular treatments during pregnancy tend to deliver closer to term and have shorter labours. It helps relax your mind and body, surely it makes sense that the more relaxed you are, the easier the birth will be.

Pregnancy Reflexology and Massage offers a natural and safe way of helping you to cope with the rapid changes your body goes through during pregnancy.

When you reach 38 weeks + we can begin to use safe and natural techniques to encourage the release of the hormone Oxytocin which brings on labour.  Unfortunately there are no guarantees these techniques will bring on labour naturally, but they are certainly worth a try before inducing labour with drugs.

We find a large percentage of our clients who receive regular reflexology and massage throughout pregnancy, and weekly treatments for the last 6-8 weeks have higher rates of going into labour naturally.

All our therapists are certified in Reflexology and Massage for Pregnancy, and Devata owner Lynn is also a qualified Hypnobirthing Instructor.
